Paul Marvin Jones, Sr.

Paul Marvin Jones, Sr., 75, of Indianapolis passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Paul was born in Greenwood, Indiana on November 8, 1949, to Willard Ancil and Thelma Pearl (O’Conner) Jones.

Paul graduated from Greenwood High School in 1967. He then pursued a degree in accounting and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University. 

In 1971, he married Mary Lou (Bakemeyer). He and Mary Lou were married for 26 years and raised his three children, Paul Jr., Elizabeth and Andrew. 

In 2012, Paul married Nadezhda and helped raise her son Edgar. Nadezhda was by his side until his death. They enjoyed traveling and spending time together as partners in life. 

Paul was a CPA and over the course of his 50-year career he served as an auditor, controller and financial officer for several public and private companies. For the past five years, he served as an auditor for the state of Indiana (Department of Child Services). 

His family was always a priority, and he enjoyed spending time with his wife, family, children and grandchildren. 

Paul was proceeded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Nadezhda, son Paul (Amy), daughter Elizabeth (Scott), son Andrew (Jean), stepson Edgar and stepdaughter Yana Petrov, and grandchildren Abigail, Laura, Parker, Jonathon, Camryn, Colbie, Faith, Lukas, Izabel, and Michelle (Nadezhda’s granddaughter).

Visitation will be held on March 7, 2025 from 11AM to 1PM at Floral Park Funeral Home with Funeral Service at 1pm. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
