93, of Indianapolis, IN was born November 26, 1923 and passed away May 11, 2017. He was born in Lansing, Michigan to Paul H. Nieman, Sr. and Ruth G Allen Nieman. Paul enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 16, with his mother’s permission, and served bravely in World War II.
Paul was an electrician by trade with Local Union #481. He daringly held the honor of being among the first electricians to string the first lights on the World’s Largest Christmas Tree on the Soldiers and Sailors Monument on Monument Circle in Indianapolis in 1962. In the 1970’s, Paul had his very own ice cream shop and enlisted family members to help run it. He enjoyed fishing, golf, camping, and playing cards, especially, Euchre. Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughters, Diana (Jerry) Miller and Vicki (Michael) Ernst, seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. All services for Paul are private.
