Indianapolis

Paul M. Graves, 96, of Indianapolis passed away on October 10, 2024. He was born on June 20, 1928, in Fountain Head, Tennessee. At the young age of 18, Paul bravely enlisted in the United States Army. He dutifully served his country for 19 months while being stationed in Germany. Paul was a dedicated employee for George F. Cram Map and Globes for 41 years and Guarantee Auto for 26 years. He was a faithful member of Fountain Square Church of Christ since 1963. Paul enjoyed fishing and watching baseball, but above all else he loved his family. He and his late wife of 68 years, Dorothy Cleo Graves, created a beautiful legacy together filled with memories that will forever be cherished. He was a true patriarch, and he never let his family go without—even if it meant making sacrifices. Paul will be missed sorely by his family and all who were lucky enough to experience his kindness.

Paul is reunited in heaven with his loving wife, Dorothy, and his siblings, Allen Graves, Pauline Graves, Annie Lou Estes, and Aline Moore.

He is survived by his loving children, Vickie (Mike) Mourer and Anthony “Tony” (Dawn) Graves; his grandchildren, Heather Mourer and Ashley (Brian) Ward; and his sister, Agnes Hurst. He is also survived by two beloved four-legged friends, Katie and Dolores.

A visitation will be held on Thursday October 17, 2024, from 11AM-1PM at Flanner Buchanan-Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229. A funeral service will begin at 1PM. Paul will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery next to his wife, Dorothy.
