Paul Loren Fletcher

Paul Loren Fletcher age 86 was born May 7, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN to Loren Vearl Fletcher and Leda Fletcher (Wooten). Paul graduated from Washington High School c/o 1955 in Indianapolis, IN and later graduated from Indiana University c/o 1979 with his Bachelors in Business.

Paul started with the USPS in 1959 as a fill-in mail carrier eventually retiring as Post Master of Zionsville in 1992. 

He was a long time member of Gospel Assembly Church where he sang in the church choir and played the trombone in the church band. He also met his future wife, Patsy at Gospel Assembly. They were married on June 8, 1957. Later he and Patsy attended Life Tabernacle Church in Indianapolis. She preceded him in death on December 13, 2024. He enjoyed taking family vacations, camping trips and wood-working. 

Paul is survived by his children: Douglas Fletcher (Sara) of Mooresville, IN, Deborah Fletcher of Indianapolis, IN and Mark Fletcher (Phyllis) of Mooresville, IN. He was also a devoted grandfather to Ashley, Lauren, Douglas II, Nick and great-grandfather to four with a fifth great-grandchild due in March. 

He passed peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Life Tabernacle Church 3540 Oliver Ave Indianapolis, IN 46241 in Paul’s honor. 

A Committal Service and Celebration of Life will be announced at a future date.
