Paul Boekankamp, 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 23, 2019. He was a graduate of Versailles HS in Versailles, IN where he was born and raised. He served in Korea from 1950-51 in the Army. He graduated from Butler University in 1954 with a BS degree in accounting. He was a Controller for various companies during his career as well as having his own accounting service. Survivors include children: Karen Eddy (Larry), Gerald (Carol) Boekankamp, Dianne Boekankamp, William Boekankamp, Janet Cridlin (Nick), Carol Reed, and Robert (Cheryl) Boekankamp; grandchildren: Courtney Eddy, Joel Boekankamp, Tricia Boekankamp, Jerilyn Taft, Chris Boekankamp, Glynis Boekankamp, Donny Boekankamp, Kayla Cridlin, Melissa Cridlin Fanelli, Becca Boekankamp, Taylor Reed, Christina Stone, Cathy Stone, and Colleen Stone Jackson; 14 great-grandchildren; along with his loving devoted sister, Mary Koehler.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie of 64 years; daughter, Cheryl Taft; granddaughters, Heather and Samantha Eddy; siblings: Wilma Schwanholt, Harold Bokenkamp, Jo Weifering, Elizabeth Brenner and Martha Dilk; and his parents, Fred and Sophia Bokenkamp.
Visitation will be held from 11am until 1pm on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Flanner Buchanan- Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN, with services immediately following at 1pm.
