Paul E. Mcmonigle

Paul E. McMonigle, 86, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 5, 2019.

Paul was born on June 7, 1932 in Indianapolis to the late Darby and Leona McMonigle and attended Lawrence Central High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and used the skills he acquired to begin his civilian career in computer processing at Western Electric where he remained until his retirement in 1986. Paul enjoyed traveling in his younger years, he was an avid reader and book collector throughout his life, and appreciated visiting flea markets and finding collectable items, especially war memorabilia, and an enthusiastic IU Basketball fan. Paul was extremely generous with his time and talents always lending a hand to the neighbors by mowing their yards, cleaning out gutters, or shoveling the sidewalks to look after the neighborhood kids. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his sons, Keith McMonigle, Scot McMonigle, Wayne McMonigle, and Neil McMonigle; and brothers, Bill McMonigle and David (Ruth) McMonigle. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gladys McMonigle, parents, and brother, Jack McMonigle.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday, February 14, 2019 with a funeral service to take place at 11:00am at Flanner Buchanan- Memorial Park.
