Paul David Greathouse

Paul David Greathouse was a father, son, brother, grandfather and friend. Born on February 23, 1948, he dedicated his life to service for others. Known to all as Dave, he served in the Navy, became a volunteer firefighter with Wayne Township, and ended his career as a Paramedic with Wishard Health Services. Dave was one of Indiana’s first bone marrow donors and was most proud of his ability to give to his community.

Dave was happiest when spending time with his grandchildren, riding his Harley, and fishing on his boat. A man with simple tastes, he enjoyed being outdoors and feeling the wind in his hair. Dave was an avid storyteller and could regale listeners for hours on end with stories from his time on the ambulance to his most recent cooking masterpiece.

Dave is survived and will be much missed by his two children, David and Melissa, and his 4 grandchildren, Sam, Caitlin, Zoe and Ian.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 1 pm with visitation from noon at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park.
