Patsy Ruth (Cope) Williams, 82, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016 after a brave battle with colon cancer.
Pat was a gifted cook and brought much joy to her family and friends, as well as her clients with her baking and meal preparation. She participated in volunteer events through Indianapolis Oasis which supports our seniors with a variety of activities. She was an avid reader and a supporter of the Hendricks Symphony.
Pat was born in Xenia, Illinois to Clyde Cope and Lois Hillyer Cope on September 28, 1934. She met the love of her life, George Williams, in Salem, Illinois. Through 51 years of marriage they set down roots with family and friends from California to Virginia, finally settling in Gaithersburg, Maryland until George passed in 2007.
Pat is survived by her children, Gregory Preston Williams of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Amelia Lynn Torres and her son in law, Jay Torres, of Brownsburg, Indiana. Her grandchildren, Parker and Preston Williams and Steven, Andrew and Cambryn Torres and Her step grandchildren, Christopher Torres, Jessica Barba and Kaitlyn Torres also survive her. Great grandchildren include, Heidi Torres, Stella Torres, Brixton Barba and Mavren Seggerman-Torres.
An Open House to celebrate her life will be held at her home that she shared with her daughter in Brownsburg, Indiana on Thursday, November 17th from 6 to 8 pm. Please reach out to Flanner and Buchanan- Speedway (317) 387-7020, if you need more information.
A memorial service will be held at Iuka Cemetery located on Landmark Road, Iuka, Illinois on December 17th at 12:00 PM. Pat will be laid to rest next to her husband, George.
