Patrick Francis Holdsworth, 58, passed away from complications from liver disease on April 30, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend to many. Born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 29, 1965, to James Stanley Holdsworth and Anne Marie Moody (Holdsworth), Pat was the middle of five sons, growing up in the suburb of Fairview Park.
He attended the University of Cincinnati, where he received a bachelor's degree in business and finance, made lifelong friends, and had great adventures.
Patrick married Kristin Jones on September 26, 1998 in Indianapolis, IN and they welcomed their daughter, Holly, in 2005. He loved his family and home deeply.
Pat held several sales jobs before finding his calling in public service. Pat served as the head of the Mayor’s Action Center for the city of Indianapolis and later led the Department of Public Works. He subsequently worked in the civil engineering sector, most recently as director of business development for Powers Engineering.
Pat enjoyed his time with friends, travelling (especially to Scotland) and spending time with his family, and learning about the world. He had quirky musical taste, loved puppets, played golf, appreciated and was a master of smart, funny commentary, and was consummately polite and kind.
Pat is survived by his wife, Kristin M. Jones (Holdsworth), daughter Holly W. Holdsworth, brothers Jim (Heather) Holdsworth, Tom (Jana) Holdsworth, and Neil Holdsworth. His parents and youngest brother Peter (Becky) Holdsworth predecease him. He leaves behind three beloved family cats, Smidgen, Comet, and Starby. Our hearts are broken and our pack will never be whole again.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Indianapolis Humane Society. Visitation will be held Friday, May 10, from 10–12 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis. Funeral services will begin there at 12 pm.
