Patricia B. Stash
Tricia Stash, 70, passed away on October 13th, 2022, in Indianapolis following a short convalescence resulting from a stroke. She is survived by her sister, Peggy (Pete), her son, Andy (Valerie), and her two grandsons: John and William who were the lights of her life.
Tricia was born in 1952 in Tucson, AZ, and graduated from Flowing Wells High School. She lived much of her life in Tucson, but also lived across the country in places such as Jackson Hole, Rochester (NY), Denver, Chicagoland, and, for much of the last 15 years, Indianapolis.
A career-oriented woman, Tricia began a career in the printing industry at Arizona Print/Copy in Tucson followed by positions with Kodak, IBM, IKON, Ricoh, and finally as a project manager with eimagine, a consulting firm in Indianapolis. Tricia worked in sales and marketing and then later in process improvement and workflow management. Her professional relationships were some of the most enduring and meaningful to her. She loved helping organizations be better equipped to fulfill their missions efficiently and effectively.
In her personal life, Tricia devoted much of her time to supporting causes she believed in, serving in a variety of positions for organizations with social, arts, and business-driven missions. She volunteered for Tucson’s Sister Cities initiatives, the Southern Arizona Blues Heritage Foundation, the Indiana Democratic Party, and organizations committed to enhancing the success of women in the workplace. She was also president of the National Association of Quick Printers (NAQP) in the early 1990s.
As a mother and grandmother, Tricia devoted boundless time and energy to the happiness and growth of her son, daughter-in-law, and especially her grandsons. Above all, she drove home the value of life experiences and loving relationships. She enthusiastically led road trips, vacations, quirky day trips, concert outings, and so much more. She demonstrated how important family connections really are – no matter how far-flung – and her devotion to family will be sorely missed. She shared our victories and tragedies and always pushed us to not dwell on the past, nor fear the future, and to maximize life’s opportunities.
A bright, happy, and enthusiastic light has dimmed for us all much too early, but we carry pieces of her forward in our hearts and minds and remember the example she set.
A visitation for Tricia will be held on October 20th followed immediately by a memorial service at Flanner Buchanan – Geist at 7855 Cork Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46236. Visitation is from 2:00 – 4:00 PM with the memorial service beginning at 4:00. There will be a reception at Andy and Valerie’s home immediately following the service.
