Patricia Dianne Raymond

Patricia Dianne Raymond, age 78 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Saturday morning, October 26, 2024.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Washington Park East Funeral Center, located at 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229.

Her funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Senior Pastor Dr. Jim Wright of Warren Baptist Church will officiate.

Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.

Pat was born on October 14, 1946 in El Dorado, Arkansas, a daughter of James F. and Adell (Halbrook) Bird.

She married James Michael Raymond on July 7, 1967.  She is survived by her husband of 57 years: James Michael Raymond of Indianapolis.

Two children: son Michael Andrew Raymond and daughter Amanda Jane (husband Kevin) Soyack.

Sisters: Judy (husband Charlie) Spears and Jimmie (husband Wade) Hodges.

Seven grandchildren: Ciara, Alex, Luke, Landry, Sylvia, Evelyn and Jordan.

She was known for cooking so many delicious dishes like her meatloaf, stuffed bell peppers, "chicken rice", and fried rice. Of course, no one can forget her homemade Rolo cookies and peanut brittle around the holidays. She enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives and anything on the Game Show Network, especially The Price is Right. She often gave back to her community by making crafted gift bags and meals for her friends and fellow churchgoers at the Warren Baptist Church. Most importantly, her grandchildren were her whole world. She helped raise her oldest two grandchildren Ciara and Alex Raymond whenever their parents needed help. Her youngest five grandchildren Luke, Landry, Evelyn, Sylvia, and Jordan loved when grandma would watch them on the weekends while their mom Amanda worked nights as a nurse. If she wasn't already in her jammies and fuzzy socks, she was always seen hanging out in her favorite "Somebody Special calls me Grandma" style t-shirts while playing FarmVille on her 'puter (computer).

Pat attended church at Warren Baptist Church for many years.
