Patricia "Patty" Marie Obermeyer

Patricia Marie (Whitlow) Obermeyer, 65, Indianapolis, passed away April 28, 2022. She was born October 6, 1956 in Indianapolis, IN to Jack Whitlow and Betty (Hardy) Whitlow. Patty was a graduate of Arlington High School. She was a general manager with McDonald’s for 46 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, David A. Obermeyer, her parents, her mother and father-in-law, James and Shirley Obermeyer, her brothers, Jack Whitlow and Raymond Whitlow, and her brother-in-law, Paul Smith. Patty is survived by her children, Amy Obermeyer (Jessie), David Obermeyer (Alex), Daniel Obermeyer, and Alyson Obermeyer; her stepson, Sean Obermeyer (Nate); her grandchildren, Adelin Obermeyer, Adrienne Obermeyer, and Deacon Obermeyer; her sisters, Debbie VanGundy (Don) and Kathy Clampitt; her sisters-in-law, Sue Whitlow, Judy Smith, Elaine Nehrt (Wayne), Nancy Obermeyer (Samory), and Barb Moody (Bill); her brother-in-law, Jamie Obermeyer (Sharon); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Patty’s life will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Flanner Buchanan—Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street.  Visitation will be on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral center.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of Indianapolis Animal Care Services Foundation.  Online condolences may be shared below on the online guestbook.
