Patricia "Pat" A. Moore

Patricia “Pat” A. Moore, 84, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2024. She was born August 10, 1940. Pat was the daughter of Dorothy D. (Miller) and Albert O. Underwood. Pat was a 1958 graduate of Beech Grove High School. Pat met the love of her life, William (Bill) Moore at Longacre Swimming Pool. They were high school sweethearts and were married for 58 years. She worked at the telephone company before starting their family. She enjoyed her career as a homemaker and was a much-loved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

Pat and Bill raised two daughters, Kathy and Mary, on the eastside of Indianapolis, and enjoyed many summers together at Coney Island Amusement Park and Sunday drives. Pat and Bill enjoyed road trips across Indiana and celebrated their 35th Wedding Anniversary in the Caribbean. Pat attended Irvington Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics, doll making, sewing and baking. Her chocolate pie was a family favorite.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Kevin) Moorhead and Mary (Bill) Bell; grandchildren, Kristina (Ryan), Ken (Ashley), Michael (Chelsie), Erin and Will (Randi); and great-grandchildren, Jack, Kate, Amelia, Aiden, Eli, Maleeha, Sienna, Maddie and Mallorie.

 She is preceded in death by her husband Bill; her parents; and her sister Marilyn (Toby) Young. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Irvington Presbyterian Church, 55 Johnson Avenue, Indianapolis, IN from 10-11:30am. A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Deacons Family Service Fund, Irvington Presbyterian Church or The Salvation Army Family Shelter Clinic (for women and children).
