Patricia Louise Hoff

Patricia Louise Hoff passed away on February 18, 2020 at the age of 87. Patricia was born in Indianapolis, IN on December 13, 1932 the youngest child of Nicholas and Josephine (Patterson) Mattingly. During her career, Patricia worked as a cafeteria worker for John Strange Elementary School. Patricia met her husband, Richard Francis Hoff, while attending a Young Catholic Adults (YCA) bowling outing. The two were married on May 25, 1963. Patricia was a consummate care giver and devoted herself to helping others. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards, especially euchre and Michigan Rummy which she enjoyed with her YCA friends the “Over the Hill Gang”.

Patricia was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 56 years, Richard Francis Hoff; her beloved son, Michael F. Hoff (Susan); her adored granddaughters, Rebecca Battiato (Alex), Emily Rivelli (Patrick) and Nicole Hoff; and her sweet great-grandson, Oliver Battiato.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Josephine and siblings: Donald Mattingly, Helen Collins, Charles “Lex” Mattingly and Lois Joseph.

Friends may call from 2pm until 6pm on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Flanner Buchanan- Broad Ripple (1305 Broad Ripple Ave., Indianapolis), with a Rosary Service to begin at 5:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Christ the King Catholic Church (5884 Crittenden Avenue, Indianapolis). Entombment will follow mass in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Patricia’s memory may be made to the Bright Focus.
