Patricia Lou Watkins

Patricia Lou Watkins, 95 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, with her son Glen and his wife Connie by her side. She was born on May 18, 1927, in Claire City, South Dakota, to parents, Raymond and Emma (Aadland) Syverson.

Patricia, the eldest of six children, grew up on a farm helping with all the chores. When she was young, she left school to be able to help her family by taking care of her siblings and also worked for a neighboring family.

Patricia was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend.  She enjoyed hosting an open home for family and friends. She was talented in many areas including cooking, baking, sewing, decorating and wood working.

Patricia made a covenant with Christ at the young age of 13 and maintained that relationship all her days.

Patricia is survived by her two sons, Glen Watkins (Connie) of Louisville KY and Dwight Watkins (Lynda) of Noblesville, IN; two sisters, Videll (Bob) Hollister of Cambridge, MN and Beth Grieser of Hot Spring, S.D.

She is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Emma Syverson; husband Leslie L. Watkins, sister Doris Spangler, and brothers Dean and Ray Jr. Syverson.

Visitation for Patricia will be from 11am- 1pm on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229, with a funeral service immediately following at 1pm. Burial will follow services at Washington Park East Cemetery.
