Patricia J. Davis, 80, of Carmel, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018. She was born September 13 to the late Donald “Catfish” and Glenola “Toots” Smith of Sheridan, Indiana. She eventually went to Marian College (now Marion University) and obtained her nursing degree. She was a nurse at Methodist Hospital for many years before retiring in 1993. Pat was such an avid reader that finding a book from the library she had not already read was close to impossible. She will be remembered for her expertise and enthusiasm in finishing crossword puzzles turning her husband and several of her caregivers into crossword fiends. Family and friends are invited to gather from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, October 5 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel, where a memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, October 6 Pat is survived by her husband, Keith; daughters, Polly (husband, Edward) Robledo, Amy (husband, Lloyd) Work, Luanna (husband, Patrick) Albrecht; stepchildren, Sally (husband, Geoff) Heard and Geoff (wife, Julie) Davis; grandchildren, Isaac Work, Avery (husband, James) Tobia, Steven Robledo, David Work, Maggie Heard; brother, Steven (wife, Mary) Smith.
