Patricia  (Pat)  H. Perrin, 86, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away January 18, 2022. She was born on March 29, 1935 to the late Colonel Olin T. Hinkley and Ruby O. Johnson Hinkley in Ft. Benning, Georgia.

As the daughter of a career Army man , Patricia lived in a variety of different places over the years , including Pearl Harbor , the US Virgin Islands , St. Louis and lived at Ft . Benjamin Harrison twice while growing up.  When her father left to fight in WW 2 in 1942 , her mother took her and young brother Kenneth to stay in Piedmont, AL  until her father’s return from the war in 1946.   In 1953  she graduated from Lawrence Central High School, then traveled to Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville AL to await the return of her father from duty in Korea .  A year later, in 1954  as a new bride she returned to settle in Indianapolis, working first at Allison Detroit Diesel , then American United Life for several years until becoming a full time mother, returning to the workforce in 1974 to FC Tucker & Co. and went on to work as a residential secretary for FC Tucker for 26 years before retirement in 2000. While Pat became a transplanted Hoosier, she never forgot her southern roots  as anyone who ever tasted her fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy would attest! Mom loved animals , mostly the four legged and furry ones but managed a couple times to allow lizards and frogs to live in the house but drew the line at snakes . Pat loved to sing and had a striking soprano voice and sang in the church choir at E . 38th St Christian Church for many years , and was asked to sing at weddings and funerals over the years .  Pat loved spring and summer flowers and trips to Tuttle’s Orchard in the fall .

Patricia is survived by her children, Greg A. Perrin of Ft. Mohave AZ , Carol Monroe (Charley)  grandson Cory Monroe of Indianapolis and nieces & nephews in Rome GA. Preceding her in were death parents Olin & Ruby Hinkley and brother , Reverend Kenneth J. Hinkley.
