With great sadness the family of Patricia Hoffman Dyer, 88, of Indianapolis, announce her passing on February 28th, 2021. She was born September 22nd, 1932, in Chicago, to parents George and Lillian (McDowell) Harvey.
Patricia had a deep commitment to her faith and was a valued, active member of Keystone Christian Church for many years. During her time at Cumberland Trace, she enjoyed communion and services hosted by St. Susanna Catholic Church. For over 20 years, she was an active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and she was a leader for Catholic Daughters of Americas.
“She was a wonderful mother, one who never grew old; her smile was made of sunshine and her heart was that of gold.”
Patricia taught us to be kind, never compare, be thankful for what we have and to always believe in our dreams. Of utmost importance to her was her faith, family and animals of all kinds. Above all, Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who adored spending time with her family. Her elegance, wit, wisdom and creativity she so generously shared with those who knew her will be an everlasting gift.
She is survived by her daughters Lorri (Steve) Tutsie, Janet Hoffman, Nancy Hoffman, and Patti (Jeff) Crabtree; grandchildren Brooke Taylor, Lauren Taylor, Brittney Caraboa, Hollyn (Colin) Crubaugh, Brock (Katie) Caraboa, Tyler Crabtree, Trent Crabtree, Michael Tutsie; great-grandchildren Khaleigha Scott, Myana Crosby, Kyson Walker, Cara Crubaugh; her sister Joyce; and her cats Bandit and Holly.
She is preceded in death by late husbands John J. Hoffman, and Charles Dyer; her daughter Joy Hoffman; and her brother George Harvey.
