Patricia Ann (Turpin) Adkins

Patricia Ann (Turpin) Adkins, 90, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025 surrounded by her family. Pat was born on November 10th, 1934, to the late Kenneth and Kathleen Turpin. She was a lifelong westsider and proud graduate of George Washington High School, Class of 1952. She retired from Eli Lilly & Co. in 1993 after nearly 30 years of service. She was an active member and taught Sunday School at Washington Street United Methodist Church and Bridgeport United Methodist Church for well over 60 years. Pat was involved in many groups such as Order of the Eastern Star, Red Hat Society, Christian Women's Club, Lilly Retiree Group/Exodus 93 and more.

Pat was an amazing Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She will be remembered by her love of children, her strong faith, her kindness to all, and love of Jeopardy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rex Daryl Adkins and her beloved niece Jennifer Ann (Turpin) Rober. Pat is survived by her children Kathleen Ann (Stephen) Lahm, Douglas Steven (Lynn) Heaton, Julie Kay Heaton, and Donald Andrew (Kelly) Adkins; grandchildren Kenneth (Cori) Lahm, David (Rachel) Lahm, Bradley Lahm, Douglas (Kathryn) Heaton, Alexander (Lauren) Heaton, Tiffani Adkins, Andrew Adkins (Fiancée Theresa Palo); great-grandchildren, Lillian Lahm, Lucy Lahm, Oliver Lahm, Astrid Lahm, Rory Patricia Heaton and Denver Heaton. She is also survived by her brother Kenneth Steven Turpin as well as several nieces and nephews and her lifelong best friend Nancy (Chamness) Glass.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers at Aspen Trace Assisted Living in Greenwood and Traditions Health Hospice Care for their exceptional care and kindness.

The family will receive guests starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway, 2950 N. High School Road. Funeral will begin at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Bridgeport United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 420 Plainfield, Indiana 46168-0420.
