Pat Hobson, a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 18, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on October 13, 1944, in Indianapolis, Pat was a joyful spirit whose kindness and concern for the well-being of others left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Co-owning Hobby Printing Company with her husband, Richard Hobson, Pat managed the daily operations and the administrative aspects of their thriving business. Her work ethic and commitment to excellence mirrored her approach to life—full of dedication and care.

Pat had a passion for cooking, particularly during the holidays, where she would gather family for meals marked by her famous Shoe Fly pie and au gratin potatoes. This special time spent with loved ones was among her most cherished memories. Alongside her culinary talents, she had a love for all animals, especially those less fortunate, which showcased her nurturing spirit. Her faith in God provided her guidance and strength throughout her life.

Pat graduated from Pike High School and later from Indiana Business College. Throughout her life, she fostered a love for hobbies that included horses, Nascar racing, the Indy 500, and gardening, all of which added vibrancy to her character.

Her personality was characterized by sweetness and openness; she was always available for family and friends, offering her loving support to anyone who needed it. Pat’s devotion to her family was profound, and she took great pride in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Among her proudest accomplishments was winning 3rd place for her Shoe Fly pie at a pie-making contest at the Indiana State Fair during the late 1980s, a testament to her baking prowess and the cherished traditions she upheld.

Pat is survived by her loving daughters, Carole Lively (Patrick), Tammy Hazel (James), Julie Hobson (Mark), and Theresa Moore (Jeffery); her cherished grandchildren, Holly Rogers (Christopher), Jessica Hazel (Josh), Cody Hazel (Josh), and Tabitha Thompson (Autumn); and her great-grandchildren, Haylee Rogers, Logan Rogers, Alexis Parson, and Gavin Parson.
