Pamela “Pammie” Mount was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world suddenly on March 28, 2024, at age 61.
She was born on May 13, 1962. Shortly after birth she was adopted by John and Patricia Moriarity. Pam graduated from Howe High School in 1980 and went on to study Vocal Music at Indiana Central College.
During college she met Jim, who would become the love of her life, after performing a solo in church one morning in October 1983. They went on their first date, fell madly in love, got engaged on Christmas Eve and got married the following April 21st on Easter Eve. Within the first two years of marriage Pam would give birth to two girls adding to her two stepdaughters.
Pam practiced music her entire life performing in several ensembles and theater performances. Kids having access to music and art was an even greater mission of hers. Pam found joy in sharing her passion with children through vocal and piano lessons up until the evening before she passed.
Pamela loved being social and keeping in touch with friends old and new. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen cooking for friends and family and would often throw large gatherings and themed dinner parties…. No one ever left the Mount household hungry. She had an uncanny ability to always find the positive side of any situation. Her generosity and kind-hearted nature was magnetic and contagious to anyone she met. Jim always said, “Everybody loves their Pammie!” She would go out of her way to make sure you felt special and loved.
Pam and Jim loved to travel together. They visited many places during their nearly 40 year marriage. They especially loved Florida and visiting Disney World in Orlando.
Perhaps more than anything, she loved her family. Her daughters would come every Sunday for family meals and quality time. Recently they both added to their families and Pam was overjoyed to be able to spend so much time with the babies.
Pamela is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Kimberly (Matt) Kristen, Mandy (Jimmy) and Katie; a brother, Brad; and 8 grandchildren Jensen, Bella, Mia, Rocco, Chloe, Beau, Millie and Ember
Pammie, we love you forever and beyond!
