Paige Courtney Schemanske

Paige Courtney Schemanske, 20, of Carmel passed away on April 23, 2021.  She was born January 16, 2001, Indianapolis, the oldest daughter of Jay and Katie (Stern) Schemanske.

Paige was a 2015 graduate of St. Maria Goretti Catholic School and a 2019 graduate of Guerin Catholic High School. While at Guerin, she was a member of the cross country and track teams, National Honor Society, and a founding member of the Our Lady’s Sodality group. After graduation, Paige went on to study nursing at the University of Southern Indiana.  At USI she was a Resident Advisor and was active with the Students for Life group.  Paige was an avid runner, talented artist, and a dedicated student. She had a passion for serving others and spent time working with the Samaritan’s Feet organization in the Dominican Republic as well as volunteering her time at Reins of Grace Therapeutic Riding Center.  Paige’s dream was to become a nurse and care for those in need.  Paige will be most remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and her beautiful smile. She will be missed beyond words.

She is survived by her parents, Jay and Katie Schemanske; two sisters, Molly and Meg Schemanske; maternal grandfather, Craig (Donna) Stern; paternal grandparents, Jim and Lynda Schemanske; and aunts and uncles, Greg and Courtney Byer, Tom and Julie Bennett, and Jeff and Tara Schemanske.  She was preceded in passing by her maternal grandmother, Joyce Stern.

Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 17102 Spring Mill Road.  Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Paige Schemanske Scholarship Fund at Guerin Catholic or to Amazima Ministries.
