Orrin Spencer Tovson

96, Indianapolis, passed away February 4, 2018. Orrin was born in Decorah, Iowa on March 15, 1921 to the late Oscar T. and Melvina (Ness) Tovson. Orrin is survived by children: Richard Tovson; Joanne Drew (Chris), David Tovson (Kathy), and Jeanette Schriner (Don); 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, William Newman. Orrin was preceded in death by his wife (Cecelia C Tovson), and his siblings.

Orrin was a Navy veteran and D-Day survivor of WW II.  Orrin was a retired Actuary for American United Life Insurance Company.

A Lutheran service of Christian Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 8115 Oaklandon Rd., Indpls, where friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until the service time. Entombment will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church school for math enrichment.
