Oren Philip Testa, 88, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on November 23, 2021, resting peacefully at home. He was born February 26, 1933, in Georgetown, IL, to Philip Joseph Testa and Sylva Marie (Crum) Testa. He graduated from Schlarman High School in Danville, IL, and Saint Mary’s College in Winona, MN.
Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, attended officer training school, and served as an Air Intelligence officer. His post-military career included working as an executive for CBS/Columbia House for 27 years before moving to Time/Warner and then Bertelsmann Music Group operating in similar positions. He loved flying and held a private pilot’s license. He also loved photography, classical music, reading, nature, and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Pamela (Price) Testa, and his children, Jean Testa of Clinton, IN; Holly (Denis) Testa of Honolulu, HI; and Ann Testa of Clinton, IN. He is also survived by nieces Monica (Barry) Gaughan of Phoenix, AZ; Paula (Merritt) Brown of Lisbon, OH; sisters-in-law Donna Price-Pumphrey (Roger) of Navarre, FL; Roxanne (Ken) Sieks of Freeport, FL; Marla (Tom) Sharkey of Lowell, IN; brother-in-law, Brian (Terri) Price of Avon, IN; and his beloved cat, Lucy. Oren was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Sylva; sister, Nina (Testa) Gaughan; and brother-in-law, James Gaughan.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In honor of Oren, we ask memorial gifts be made to your church or the organization of your choosing.
