Norman Wayne Shaw, age 75 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday night, December 16, 2024.
Norm was born on September 8, 1949 in Needmore, Indiana, a small unincorporated community in Brown County near Nashville, Indiana. He was the son of Herman and Mary (Reed) Shaw. He was the second youngest of nine children; with two sisters still surviving: Thelma Ditchley of Indianapolis, and Christine McCurdy of Deland, Florida. He is preceded in death by six siblings.
Norm married Brenda Borders on February 14, 1969 at Calvary United Methodist Church in Indianapolis. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years: Brenda Shaw of Fairland, Indiana.
Together Norm and Brenda have three children: Brian (wife April) Shaw of Fairland, Indiana, Carriann Shaw of Indianapolis, and Nathaniel (Skyler Prather) Shaw of Indianapolis.
Five grandchildren: Evan Shaw, Madalyn Odum, Andrew Odum, Eli Shaw, and Gage Shaw.
Two step grandchildren: Austin Stoltz and Autumn Stolz.
He was a United States Army Military Police Sergeant during the Vietnam War.
He had a love of all sports but most of all for baseball. He spent 20+ years with Warren Little League as a coach and on the Board of Directors. He Managed a BIG League Boys team that he took to the Little League World Series.
He bowled 30+ years and achieved a 300 perfect game as well as bowled on The Masters.
Norm also enjoyed Golf and Hunting and Fishing.
He was a contestant on the Hoosier Millionaire Show. He owned his own construction company for 25+ years. Norm spent 10 years as a School Bus Driver, And 30 years as an Auctioneer.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East Funeral Center, located at 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229.
His funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Norm’s nephew Timothy Ditchley will officiate.
Entombment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
