Norman Owen Ottinger of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on March 2, 2023, at the age of 77. Norman was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 19, 1945, to parents, James and Lona (Brown) Ottinger. He graduated from Lincoln Technical College in Mechanics. Norman retired from the Indiana State Highway Department as a mechanic. Norman was hardworking and appreciated a job well done correctly. He enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, and woodworking. Norman loved football and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Moose Lodge #16, and the power squadron. Norman loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

Norman married Sandra Louis Krepp on September 7, 1968 they spent 49 wonderful years together, she preceded him in death in 2016. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by daughters, Stephanie Ottinger, Suzette Dodge, and Nicole (Jason) Lowe; grandchildren, Courtney Nicole Ottinger, Piper Vow Dodge, Kathleen Louise Dodge, Lucas Allen Dodge, Brendan Eli Dodge, Ronin Ayden Dodge, James Owen Lowe (Kayla), and Samantha Lynn Lowe; great-grandchildren, Brandon Dante Wright, Elliot Alexander Brown, Matthew Ray Lowe, and Betty Rose Hons; and siblings, James Thurl Ottinger and Annetta Louise Boer.

Family has requested that mask be worn during visitation and services. Visitation will be held from 11am until 1pm, Monday, March 13, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN). A Funeral Service will be held at 1pm, Monday, March 13, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East. Burial will follow funeral service at Washington Park East Cemetery.
