Norman Grant Thompson

Norman Grant Thompson, 81, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Fishers, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017.

He was born on December 13, 1935 in Indianapolis.  Norm was a 1954 graduate of Beech Grove High School and served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1954 – 1956.  He worked for Eli Lily in the Capsule Division for 38 years, retiring in 1993.  Norm was a past member of Christ Community Church of Fishers.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Thompson; children, Bret (Virginia) Thompson and Beverly (Dave) Sachleben; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  Norm is also survived by his sister, Patricia Starkey.  Also surviving are his stepchildren, Linda (Kent) Koester and Laura (Tim) Greene; 4 step-grandchildren and 6 step great-grandchildren.  Norm was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Barbara (Clapp) Thompson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 2pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, with visitation 2 hours prior to the service.  Burial with military honors will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery.  Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
