Niliah Fay (Essick) Sullivan, 93, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 28, 2022. Niliah was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 21, 1928 to the late Anna Mae (Hodges) and Oscar L Essick. After her father passed at a young age, Niliah was raised by her mother and stepfather, George Swineford. In later years, Niliah worked for PR Mallory and North American Capacitor in sales, retired 1996 after 30 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, camping. Niliah was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She will certainly be missed by all the lives she has touched.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Dale Woodall (Lisa), Donna (Woodall) Koerner (Larry Striebeck), Gary Woodall (Freija); her grandchildren, Janelle Morrison (Jason), Jonathan Koerner (Hanna), Brent Woodall, Karl Woodall, Jennifer Johnston (Andrew), Kasandra Woodall (Jessie), Stephen Woodall (Rachel), Adam Woodall (Kirby); her great grandchildren, Jay Woodall, Nicholas Woodall, Trinity Woodall, Juliana Morrison, Jayden Morrison, Lason Woodall, Adelaide Koerner; her surviving siblings; Renna Doyle (Paul), Buddy Swineford (Sarah).
Niliah is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Paul E Woodall and Banner C. Sullivan; her siblings; Harry Essick, Ruby (Blacketer) Essick, Vera (Blacketer) Essick, Georgia (Childers) Swineford, Roy Swineford. her grandchildren; Lane Woodall; her great grandchild, Nicholas Woodall.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 6PM-8PM. Due to impending weather, Niliah’s funeral service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 11AM.
