Nicolas Brady Hatfield

Nicolas Brady Hatfield, 23, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 30, 2019. Nic was born on December 16, 1995 in Fort Hood, Texas to Johnie Hatfield and Valerie Hatfield (Corey Massey). Nic and his twin brother Corey grew up in Evansville, Indiana, where Nic graduated from F. J. Reitz High School in 2013. Nic was a gifted drummer and guitarist, who also wrote and sang his own songs. He worked as an accountant while pursuing his bachelor’s degree. Nic was a caring soul. He was a thinker, more apt to work his way through a problem and keep himself and others around him calm. He was a people pleaser and made sure his family and friends always had a smile on their face. He was looking forward to a new job, new opportunities, and more time to spend with his loved ones.

Nic was joined in Heaven by the love of his life, Delaney Frye. They recently celebrated their first anniversary and shared sweet messages to one another on their Facebook pages. Nic told his family he had finally found “The One,” and had plans to continue life alongside Delaney, with hopes to one day start a family. They are now together in heaven for all eternity.

Nic is survived by his loving parents; his twin brother, Corey; sister, Elizabeth; grandparents, Richard and Victoria Gilreath, John Hatfield, and Jackie Evans; uncle, Brady (Cindy) Gilreath; aunt, Molly (John) Robb; cousins, Karli, Zack, Emily, Katie; and countless other family members and friends.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis. A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to M.A.D.D., Mothers Against Drunk Driving, 511 E.
