Nicholas “Nick” Cavallaro
28, of Indianapolis, passed away September 6, 2019. He was born on January 15, 1991 in Indianapolis, Indiana as the son of John Cavallaro and Sandra Hursh.
Nick worked at Tom Wood Nissan (Carmel) as a mechanic and worked part-time with the Jay Howard Racing Team. He loved racing, especially the Indy 500 and Nascar. He, his brother Vince and his father John, went to the races together. So, when he landed this job with Jay Howard Racing, it was a dream come true. He loved cars, especially the sporty and expensive ones. Another passion was music, especially Alternative Metal bands such as, Breaking Benjamin, Wage War, Crown the Empire and his favorite, Memphis Mayfire. He played the drums and was in a band while in high school. He loved all the Marvel Movies with Deadpool as his favorite. He would make new friends and have them binge watch all the Marvel movies with him if they had never seen them. He wanted them to be as excited about them as he was. He had so much passion that he cried at the end of Avengers End Game every time he saw it, which was quite a few. His mother and him shared this passion. He also loved horror movies. He always had a smile on his face and loved to have fun with family and friends. He loved his Escape Room friends and working at the Escape Room was right up his alley. He worked puzzles and solved mysteries better than anyone. Nick knew NO FEAR! He loved Roller Coasters, Cliff Diving, Skateboarding, Cave Exploration, Zip Lining and his next adventure would have been to Sky Dive. Nick was also a great cook; he made the best Crab Cakes!
He and his girlfriend, Kylie, were talking about getting married and working toward buying a house. He wore his heart on his sleeve, if ever you needed anything, he would be there to help. That is the person he was.
Nick is survived by his parents; John (Deniece) Cavallaro, Sandy (Rod) Hursh; brother; Vincent (Caitlin) Cavallaro and his Nephew, Colton.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Lucille and Anthony Cavallaro and Grandmother, Phyllis Buckley.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019, from 5-7pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229. There will be a memorial service following at 7pm also at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to National Suicide Prevention Lifeline or Anxiety and Depression Association of America.
