Nellie (Jean) Maddox 91- years- old, died on Monday, November 21, 2016 in Indianapolis, Indiana with her loving family by her side following a brief illness.
Jean was born on January 6, 1925 in Brazil, Indiana to Gladys and Linley Lineberry. Jean was the baby of the family, she was predeceased by her sister – Maxine Lineberry and brother- James Lineberry. She was united in marriage to Lethard Maddox whom passed away February 18, 1994. Jean was known for her love of people and life and was a mother and grandmother to all who knew her. She won the hearts and trust of many, her unconditional love and laughter will never be forgotten. Jean and Lethard have 3 children: James Richard and Peggy Maddox of Arizona, Michael and Esther Maddox of Indianapolis, and Bobby and Rebecca Maddox of Indianapolis. Jean was blessed with 24 grandchildren and numerous great- grandchildren. Jean was predeceased by her husband Lethard, grandsons: Johnny Maddox and Randy Garcia and grand daughter: Theresa Maddox. Of all the many things Jean will be remembered for she had a favorite saying that she was sure to share with all she met: You can become whatever you want, all you have to do is believe in yourself.
