Nancy Sue Moore

Nancy Sue Moore, 67, from Zionsville, IN passed away on July 6th, 2018.  She was born on October 10th, 1950, in Indianapolis, IN the daughter of the late Edwin and Doris Jean (Sanders) McClain.  She married Mark Moore on December 27th, 1971.

Nancy was a 1968 graduate of North Central High School.  She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Butler University in 1972, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.  She was a long-standing member of East 91^st Street Christian Church and the Indiana University Varsity Club with her husband. Nancy taught the second grade at Nora Elementary.

Her greatest joy in life was being a devoted wife, an amazing mother to Brad and Todd, and a loving grandmother aka Nana to her 5 grandchildren.  Many of her friends and family often remarked that she was the kindest, most caring, and compassionate person they had even known.  She had a gentle, humble, and servant soul and loved to host friends and family at her house.  Nancy was a wonderful, loyal sister to Connie and Sally and will be greatly missed.  Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now home in heaven with Jesus and is finally pain free.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband Mark after 46 years of marriage; 2 sons, Brad (Jill) Moore and Todd (Ginny) Moore; 5 grandchildren, Ellie, James, Stella, Luke, and Dylan; and 2 sisters, Sally (Dirk) Sterley and Connie (David) Lewis.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9th, 2018, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be shared by visiting flannerbuchanan.com.
