Nancy E. Quest, of Indianapolis, passed away March 1st, 2024. She was born October 31st, 1936, in Wichita, Kansas, to parents John "Paul" and Mary Ann (Tipler) Johnson.
She graduated from Clarksville High School in Clarksville, Texas.
As a young lady, Nancy met the love of her life, Joseph "Joe" Quest. They married and shared many wonderful years together. Joe precedes Nancy in death.
Nancy graduated from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, and received her bachelor's in education.
A very hard worker, Nancy held several jobs throughout her life. She was a teacher at Our Lady of Lourdes, and later at Sunny Heights. She also worked at the State Welfare Office, Indiana University Alumni Office for IUPUI, and finally retired from the Hoosier Lottery.
She was a loyal member to St. Simon Catholic Church. She was also active in the Fatima Knights of Columbus, ROWC (MOAA), the Goldenaires, and the Guardian Angel Guild.
Nancy was a loving, vibrant woman, with a huge heart, and great sense of humor. She enjoyed being outdoors, birdwatching and loved tending to her yard, achieving the title "Master Gardener". In her free time, she was an avid crossword puzzler. Above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were the shining stars in her life, and she took her grandma duties very seriously.
Nancy is survived by her children Bill (Diane) Quest and Theresa "Terry" (Bill) Krueskamp; and grandchildren Melanie (Ivan Wooten) Quest, Allison (Dakota Lis) Quest, Andrew Quest, Jean Krueskamp, and Ruth Krueskamp.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joe, and her son Michael Quest.
Visitation for Nancy will be Saturday March 16th, from 10-12pm at St. Simon Catholic Church. Her funeral mass will begin at 12pm. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery, following cremation.
