Nancy Helen Woodruff, 79, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend, died peacefully and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on May 18, 2020. Nancy loved many things; her faith, sewing, reading, shopping at Goodwill, spending time with friends and figuring out a way to sneak something sweet. But there was nothing Nancy loved more in this world than her family.
Nancy’s best memories were when she was surrounded by her people. She sought to instill in her children a faith in Jesus, that she lived out every day, the love of a good meal filled with laughter and that you can never have too many shoes or purses.
But Nancy’s abiding passion was her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. They could brighten her day by simply calling her granny and there was never a time when you spoke to her that she didn’t immediately ask, “How are the kids”? This love for her family and her faith in a loving God allowed her to endure even the hardest of days.
She is survived by a family who loves her dearly and friends that remember her fondly.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
The family will be saying their goodbyes on Friday, May 22. On that day they ask that you spend time with your children, take a walk with your family and say a prayer of thanksgiving to your Maker. That’s what Nancy would wish.
