Nancy Grace Friar

Nancy Grace Friar, 83, of Evansville, passed away Friday, June 10, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, in Evansville, Indiana.

She was born January 14, 1939 to the late John Walter and Margaret Irene (Bugg) Friar.

Nancy was a member of Bethel Church in Evansville and a member of The American Legion Kapperman Post 44, and served in the United States Navy. Nancy was inducted into the Indiana Hall of Fame as an umpire.

She is survived by her brother, John William (Ann) Friar; sister, Bonnie Dooley; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her sister, Rhonda Irene Ruble; and 3 nephews, Jerry Ruble, Doug Ruble, and Ron Friar.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2022 at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229 with burial to follow in Washington Park East Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service.
