Nancy C Turula

Nancy C. Turula, 89, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on June 11, 2018. She was born November 1, 1928 in Richmond, Indiana to Roland and Dorothy Cutter; one of three siblings.

She graduated from Richmond High School and went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree from IU-Bloomington in 1950. Nancy met the love of her life, Harry, while working as a secretary at Eli Lilly; she quickly fell for the pharmacist. The two were married in June of 1952 and remained deeply in love until Harry’s passing June 13, 1982. He remained the one true love of her life. She was a loyal member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church for 65 years. Family remembers her as a fiercely independent woman with a sassy demeanor and a heart of gold. She loved her family deeply and relished her role as a mother, grandmother, and friend. Nancy was the kind of woman who maintained lifelong relationships and stayed loyal to those she loved. She loved traveling and taking cruises with friends and family. She volunteered for Alpha Chi Omega and The Indiana Historical Society; history was important to her and she loved sharing her knowledge with those around her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Dorothy; beloved husband of 30 years, Harry Turula; and son, Harry Turula, Jr. Surviving to cherish her memory are children, Linda (Elwood) Roeschlein, Lisa (Michael) Geesey, Dan (Kelly) Turula; daughter in law, Elyse Turula; brothers, J. Robert Cutter and Roland Cutter; 4 grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends who were more like family.

Family and friends are invited to visit June 30, 2018 from 11 AM-12 PM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 526 E 52nd St, Indianapolis, IN 46205. Services will begin at 12 PM. She will be laid to rest at a private ceremony at Washington Park North Cemetery. Flowers are heavily discouraged.
