Myrtle F. Walker, 84, of New Whiteland went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 14, 2018.
Myrtle was born on April 10, 1933 in Madison, Indiana to the late Charles and Elsie Banks. She met and married the love of her life, Walter W. Walker in 1956 and they shared 62 wonderful years together. She and Walter had 6 sons, and she was the heart of the family and champion of her household. She was the world’s best mother, always putting the needs of her family above her own. She had a dry sense of humor, and enjoyed having lots of help rearranging furniture and changing the landscaping. She retired from Johnson Controls after 40 plus years of dedicated service as an executive secretary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and loving husband, Walter W. Walker. She leaves behind her 6 sons, Charles, Mark, Jeffrey, Gregory, Christopher, and Todd Walker; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Deloris and Sandra.
A funeral service will be 10:00am, on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 with visitation Monday 4-8pm, Monday, March 19, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East.
