Myron Frasier

September 21, 1941 — December 15, 2022

Indianapolis, IN

Myron Hart Frasier, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully December 15, 2022. He was born September 21, 1941, in Evansville, Indiana to parents Al and Lois (Hart) Frasier.

Myron graduated from Booneville High School where he was an accomplished clarinetist, winning the state championship twice. He graduated from IU with his undergraduate degree in accounting and finance. Upon graduating and becoming certified in accounting, Myron worked for the IRS. He was subsequently hired by H. J. Umbaugh & Associates to open their Indianapolis office where he served as the managing partner. During his time there, he obtained his pilot’s license – not only because of his love for flying, but to shorten his commute to the southern Indiana branch. He also worked as an adjunct professor for Indiana University, enjoyed service on the Board of Directors for the Edgar Cayce Foundation, and on the Governor’s Planning Commission.

During a Bible study at St. Thomas in Indianapolis, Myron met his adoring wife, Joy Prince. On September 10, 1994, they married and shared 28 wonderful years together.

He and Joy were valued members of Holy Spirit Parish at Geist for many years.

Myron was both a classic gentleman and an adventurous renaissance man. His passion for music carried through his lifetime. He and Joy loved attending the symphonies and operas, and they traveled the world several times over. They spent weeks enjoying Asia and the Mediterranean, and they learned so much during their travels that Myron and Joy channeled their experiences into their own Frasier’s Gourmet Foods. It became the exclusive spot for cooking classes, wine tastings, gourmet cheeses, and knife sharpening. Their shop was beloved by the community for 15 years. Above all, Myron adored his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joy; daughters: Heather (Frasier) Spangler and Brier Frasier; son, Brek Frasier; stepchildren: Mary Beiter, Amy Beiter, Robert Beiter, Junior, Brad Baumgartner, Rachel Locke, and Boyd Baumgartner; twenty-two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Al Frasier; mother, Lois (Hart) Frasier; son, Derk Frasier; and sister, Kathleen Frasier.

Memorial Masses for Myron will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2023, and Sunday, April 30, 2023, both at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, Indiana 46037.
