Myrna Mae Brown-Wiant, 63, of Noblesville, IN and formerly of Reston, VA, passed away April 23, 2017. She was born June 20, 1953, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of the late Paul and Erma (Hayter) Brown. She married Fredrik Wiant, who preceded her in passing December 28, 2002.
Myrna retired as a champion for troubled kids with the Fairfax County Juvenile District Court. Her gift was being an advocate for those who could not fight for themselves. She was a member of Falls Church Presbyterian Church and Orchard Park Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed crafts and flowers, and she loved animals. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and traveling the world. She will be remembered most for her boundless love and joy of life.
She is survived by her four children, Berin (Michelle) McKeown, Meredith (Colin) Kalbfleisch, Trevor McKeown, and Lauren McKeown; three step-children, Fredrik “Fritz” (Laura) Wiant, Jon Wiant, and Laura Wiant; five grandchildren, Baenan, Callum, Aila, Ciaran, and Deagan; sister, Sandra Thomas; and a brother, Michael Brown. She was preceded in passing by a granddaughter, Niamh.
Memorial services will be 3 pm, Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, 1605 East 106th Street. Visitation will be from 2 pm until the time of service at the church. The family requests that in honor of Myrna, that guests wear something purple. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
