MOLLY ANN HESSION

Loving wife, mother, daughter, and Nana

Molly was born to Margaret and Michael Merrill on March 15, 1960 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She graduated from Brownsburg High School where she met her high school sweetheart, Tim Hession. She went on to receive her nursing degree from Indiana State University and started her career at Women’s Hospital of Indianapolis. Tim and Molly were married on August 14, 1982 and planted their roots in Speedway, IN. Molly put her nursing career on pause to focus on raising their four children (Timmy, Sarah, Joe, and Jonny). Molly later combined her love of children and nursing to work as a school nurse for 15+ years at Speedway Schools. She was loved by parents and students alike. She loved cooking Sunday dinners with plenty of leftovers to send home with each of her kids. On a warm sunny day, you could find Molly laying by the pool after spending hours taking care of her flowers and yard. Her favorite family traditions included Spring Break trips in Panama City Beach and hosting Race Day parties at their Speedway home.

Molly is preceded in death by her mother; Margaret Merrill, and brother; Michael Merrill.

She is survived by her father, Michael K. Merrill; her husband, Timothy J. Hession; her children Timothy M. Hession, Sarah (Barry) Gardner, Joseph (Morgan & baby boy) Hession, and Jonathon (Haley) Hession; her grandchildren Vaida, Riley, Lily, Maddie, and Charlie; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Molly’s visitation will be Monday, November 22nd from 11am-1pm at Flanner & Buchanan in Speedway, 2950 N. High School Road, with funeral service beginning at 1pm. She will be laid to rest at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
