Mollie B. James
88, of Indianapolis, formerly of Gadsden and Birmingham, Al, passed away on December 1, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of fifty years, Joseph A. James. She is survived by her children, David (Ellen) James of Denver, Carol (Nelson) Cerqueira of Salvador, Brazil, Mary (Tex) McCormick of Indianapolis and Arthur (Joan Gielas) James of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Bess and Emily James, Patricia and Daniel Cerqueira and James and Joseph McCormick.
Mollie ended her working career in the administrative office of Park Tudor School. In her retirement, she dedicated her time to community service at the Benjamin Harrison Home and Holliday Park. She was a Master Gardener and member of the IMA Horticultural Society. An active member of Second Presbyterian Church, she belonged to its Sages group.
Calling will be at Flanner and Buchanan-Broad Ripple on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Second Presbyterian Church on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 1:30 p.m., with calling one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Benjamin Harrison Home or Friends of Holliday Park.
