Minnie R. Gorbett

Minnie R. Gorbett, 96, a devoted wife, mother, and great-grandmother passed away on Monday, January 26, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John Gorbett. She was loved by all that knew her including her daughter, Patricia Meier and two sons, John Gorbett, Jr. and Gary Gorbett. Minnie will be remembered with admiration and affection by her 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson as she loved and supported them in all of their endeavors and lives. Minnie was born on April 10, 1924 in Liberty, Indiana. She was a homemaker who loved to care for her family by always keeping a neat home and delicious food on the table. Those close to her nicknamed her the Hostest with the Mostest, and she always lived up to that name. She was always ready to welcome you into her home with a smile, kind words, and a homecooked meal. She had a servant’s heart and joyfully served all those that crossed her path.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 1 at Victory Church in Franklin, IN.
