Miles Ray Miller

Miles Ray Miller, 92, of Indianapolis, Indiana went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 28, 2022. He was born June 9, 1929, in Allen County, Kentucky to the late Ruben and Lindy (York) Miller. Miles owned Miller’s Welding Service where he was a Fabrication Welder for many years. Miles was gifted and loved spending time outdoors manicuring his yard, he was quite the handyman.  He also played lead guitar for the “Blankenship Brothers and the Sundown Playboys.” He loved the Lord and enjoyed reading the Word and sharing it with whomever he met. Miles served as an Elder and Deacon at Northeast Church of Christ and was currently a member of the South Keystone Church of Christ. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Miles is survived by his loving children, Debby (Keith) Huesman, Rhonda (Terry) Morgan, Beth (Mike) Martin, grandchildren, Scott (Michelle) Dewees, Dawn Dewees, Alex (Stephanie) Huesman, Chris Huesman, Andy Morgan, Sabrina (Billy) Bentley, Megan Morgan, Jeanetta Morgan, Amber (Richard) Borneman, Jessi (Ricky) Spears, Ben Martin, Sam (Holly) Martin, David Martin, Lucy Jo Martin, 22 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Johnnie Miller, his children, Shelia Haefling, Jerry and Terry Miller, a grandson, Mitchell Morgan and 7 siblings. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, 11am at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with visitation there Monday, March 7, 2022, 5-8 pm and Tuesday from 9am until the service. He will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery. The family would especially like to thank Amber Borneman for her exceptional care given to her grandfather during the time of his declining health.
