Mildred Brunner Hatke Wilson, 79, of Indianapolis passed away on January 19, 2018 at 5:39 AM peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family after a battle with cancer.
She was born to Walter and Alma Brunner on August 25, 1938. Mildred, or Millie as most would call her, was one of 12 children. She had 10 brothers and 1 sister. She is predeceased by husbands Francis J. Hatke (married July 2, 1955) and Roy Wilson (married November 6, 1999); and children, Robin Briggs and Diana Hatke.
Millie is survived by her children, Sara (Martin) Rael of Los Lunas, NM, Frank (Regina) Hatke of Lafayette, IN, Marsha (Dave) Bohn of Indianapolis, IN, Darryl (Lisa) Hatke of Lafayette, IN, Jo Ann (Dave) Higgins of Roachdale, IN, Melissa (Bob) Sigo of Otterbein, IN, Robert (Linda) Hatke of El Paso, TX, 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and many loving friends.
She had a love for cooking and watching others enjoy it. She was a retired dietician at White County Memorial Hospital. She was very active in her faith as a Jehovah’s Witness and enjoyed teaching others about God’s kingdom. Millie was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Friends and family may visit Saturday, January 27 at 2 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4850 West Martha Street, Indianapolis, IN. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Services entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township.
