Mildred Irene Harrington

Mildred Irene (Poynter) Harrington, age 95, of Indianapolis, passed away February 6, 2018. She was born in Cave City, KY on March 20, 1922 to parents, Marvin and Lecta (Decker) Poynter.  She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School and worked in the Lawrence Township School System cafeterias before going on to retire as a Preschool Teacher. Mildred was the oldest member of Outlook Christian Church.  She enjoyed camping, boating and being with her beloved family.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Harold Harrington; parents and four siblings.  She will be lovingly missed by her sons: Richard H. Harrington (Linda), Bill Harrington (Mercedes), and Larry J. Harrington (Chris); 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 11am until 1pm on Monday, February 12, 2018 at  Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street.  Graveside services will immediately follow at 1pm at Washington Park East Cemetery.
