Michael Wayne Lee Sr

Michael Wayne Lee Sr., 76 of Indianapolis passed away on June 17^th, 2022.

Michael was born on June 23^rd, 1945 in Shelbyville, IN and was the son of Robert and Pansy Lee.  He attended Shelbyville High School and at age 17 volunteered to enlist in the United States Army, serving as a Military Policeman(MP).  Michael earned the rank of Sergeant First Class and proudly served for over 32 years.

On June 23^rd, 1979, Michael married the love of his life, Jeanette Green and they enjoyed the next 43 years together raising their family.   Michael is survived by Jeanette, sons Dan Speaks (Candy), Brian Speaks and Michael Wayne Lee Jr. (Anna) and daughters Indola Lee and Melinda Lee; grandchildren Miles, Chase, Jonathan, Madison, Emme, Eric, Indola, Donna, Michael and Lindzie, and sisters Kathy and Betty; and his fur babies, Toby, Remi, and Hannah.

Michael enjoyed western television programs such as “Gunsmoke” and “Rin Tin-Tin”, old-school professional wrestling, and being a husband, father and grandfather.  Those who loved him called him “Squirrely”. He will be sadly missed by all who know and love him.

Funeral service will be held 2pm Friday, June 24, 2022 at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229 with burial to follow in Washington Park East Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Noon until time of service.
