Michael B. Trowbridge

Michael B. Trowbridge of Avon, IN, passed away on September 21st, 2024, at the age of 76. He was born in Martinsville, IN, on October 4, 1947, to Clinton and Opal (Brown) Trowbridge. Michael grew up in Broad Ripple, IN, hunting, swimming, and fishing along the banks of the White River. After high school, he answered his nation’s call and served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer during two tours of duty in Vietnam. Upon returning home, he worked as a mechanic for his brother Roy at Carmel & Zionsville Auto Service for nearly fifty years. He was a proud member of the Free Mason's Lodge #57, and his love of nature continued throughout his life. The avid fisherman could regularly be found wetting a line somewhere. Mike loved his family fiercely, and spent countless hours supporting his grandkids at sports and performances. A man with strong hands and a soft heart, there wasn't a wrench he couldn't turn, a Rom-Com he wouldn't watch, or a caramel filled snickerdoodle he wouldn't enjoy. Rest easy Pop, we'll take it from here. You will always be in our hearts.

He is survived by children, Michael (Lisa Bravis) Trowbridge, Heather (Chris Davis) Trowbridge; grandchildren, Anne, Michael, and Clint Trowbridge, Abigail Davis; Brothers Roy & Harry Trowbridge, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Jim, and sisters Virginia and Marge.

A Memorial gathering will be held from 10am until 12pm, September 27, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel (325 E. Carmel Dr. Carmel, IN). A Memorial Service will be held at 12pm, Friday, September 27, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel. Burial will follow funeral service at Carmel Cemetery.
