‘Chef’ Michael Todd Harmon passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 27th 2018. Todd is survived by his mother Judy Remington-Harmon of Carmel, sister Kelley of Portland Oregon, Son Wyatt Harmon-Jackson, daughter Penelope and her Mother Pam Harville of Indianapolis. Porter and Stout, the family dogs also survive. Todd is predeceased by his father Michael J Harmon. Born in Marion Indiana in 1968, he attended North Central High School in Naperville IL and went on to serve in the Navy as a decorated Sea-Air Rescue swimmer stationed in San Diego California. After serving our nation he returned to central Indiana where his life’s work behind a chef’s knife began. After training at Dooley O’Toole’s and the Glass Chimney he was involved some challenging start-ups including the Library Restaurant in Carmel, the Villa in Indianapolis and what is now Flat Water Grill in Broad Ripple. Winning much acclaim, his path landed him as executive chef at Maple Creek Golf Club in Indianapolis, Pete Dye’s first course design. A public visitation will be held at Flanner Buchanan-Broad Ripple on Saturday the 31st of March from 11-1:00PM with memorial service beginning at 1:00. An Irish Wake will follow at Pam and Penelope’s home in Ravenswood. A GoFundMe site has been set up for donations in Todd’s honor www.gofundme.com/penelopeharmon.
