Michael Ray Cantrell, 65, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Mike was born on June 7, 1953 to the late Charles Ray and Grace Elizabeth (Hamilton) Cantrell and lived in Indianapolis all his life. On August 18, 1972 he married the love of his life, Deanie Cantrell, and together they became a great team. Mike owned and operated Michael’s Automotive, and with his son by his side, he took great pride in providing good and honest service to all his customers. Mike enjoyed Nascar and fishing and was a man of many talents. He was loved by everyone who met him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deanie Cantrell; son, J. Michael Cantrell; daughters, Christy Cantrell and Michelle Wilmouth; and 6 grandchildren. Mike is also survived by his sister, Patty Cantrell; and brothers by choice, Roger Ragan, Hank Tackett and Steve Tackett.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 12pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, with visitation 2 hours prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society. Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
