Michael Thomas O'Malia

Michael “Mike” Thomas O’Malia, 71, Noblesville, IN, passed away March 14, 2025. He was born in Indianapolis, IN to William E. and Helen J. (McClellan) O’Malia. Mike graduated from Pike High School in 1972. Mike was employed by Indiana Bell/Ameritech/SBC for 30 years. After his retirement, became part of the grounds staff at Crooked Stick Golf Club, and then at Bridgewater Club. Mike was previously involved in the Millersville Masonic Lodge #126, Indianapolis Valley of Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, and the Royal Order of Jesters. He enjoyed gardening, jigsaw puzzles, and socializing with family, friends, and neighbors.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Maverick J. O'Malia, his father and mother-in-law, Bob and JoAnn Caudell, and his sister-in-law, Debi Freund.

Survivors include his wife of 41years, Cindy O’Malia, children, Kelly and Shane (Dani) O'Malia. Grandchildren, Kinley and Hayden O'Malia. Brothers Kevin (Shelly) and John (Bernie) O'Malia. Nephews Brady (Christy), Connor (Audrey), and Cameron O'Malia, and niece, Courtney (Mitchell) Smith. Great nieces, Brooklyn Bayles, Hallie and Nora O'Malia, and Wesley, Grayson, and Carter Smith.

The family would like to thank the Independant Adult Day Northeast Indianapolis / Hamilton County Center and the Prairie Lakes Health Campus for their wonderful care of our husband and dad.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in honor of Maverick O'Malia.

A memorial service will be held April 19, 2025 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Prairie Waters Funeral and Event Center at Hamilton Memorial Park, 4180 Westfield Rd Westfield, IN 46062. A gathering time will follow. Online condolences may be shared at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
